From: Maya Chen To: Alex Rivera Subject: Saturday marsh bird survey route and data sheet Date: Fri, 10 Jul 2026 16:42:18 -0400 Hi Alex, Thanks again for signing up for the Riverbend citizen-science bird survey tomorrow morning. We will meet at the north parking lot by the canoe launch at 6:30 a.m. and split into two small groups from there. Your route is the east marsh loop, roughly 2.1 km. Please record every bird you can identify by sight or sound, plus the count, time, and habitat note. For flyovers, mark them as "flyover" unless they appear to be using the marsh. We are especially interested in rails, bitterns, marsh wrens, and any signs of nesting activity. Bring binoculars, water, insect repellent, and shoes that can handle wet grass. I will have printed data sheets, but you can also enter observations in eBird if you prefer. If you use eBird, please share the checklist with "RiverbendSurvey" before noon so we can merge the results. Weather looks clear, with light wind from the west. If that changes overnight, I will send a cancellation note by 5:45 a.m. Best, Maya > On Thu, 9 Jul 2026 at 19:08, Alex Rivera wrote: > Hi Maya, > Just confirming that I am still available for Saturday's survey.
