Hello everyone,

Thank you for signing up for this month’s Lakeshore Bird Survey. We’ll meet on Saturday, July 18, at 6:30 a.m. beside the east entrance to Harborview Park.

Please bring binoculars if you have them, a pencil, water, and clothing suitable for light rain. We’ll divide into small groups and walk assigned routes for about two hours, recording each species we see or hear. New volunteers are welcome; every group will include an experienced observer.

If weather conditions become unsafe, I’ll send a cancellation notice by 5:45 a.m. Otherwise, the survey will proceed in light rain.

Afterward, please return your completed tally sheets to the picnic shelter. We’ll have coffee and muffins available while we compare observations.
