From: Maya Chen To: Daniel Ortiz Subject: RoastLoop June numbers and seed round update Date: Fri, 10 Jul 2026 09:18:42 -0400 Hi Daniel, Quick update on RoastLoop before our call next week. June was our strongest month so far: - 4,820 active subscribers, up 18% month over month - $142k MRR - 3.7% monthly churn, down from 4.4% in May - 61% of new customers came through referrals or gift cards - Average gross margin held at 48% after shipping The biggest change is that our "brew profile" onboarding is finally working. Customers who complete it are converting to paid at 34%, compared with 21% for the old quiz. They also contact support less often because the first shipment is closer to what they actually want. We are still working through two constraints: packaging lead times and roaster capacity for single-origin lots. I have a call Friday with the Oregon partner to lock in a second weekly roast day, which should give us enough headroom through September. For the seed round, we are planning to raise $2.2M. Use of funds is mainly operations, customer acquisition, and two engineering hires for the recommendation engine and subscription management flow. Happy to send the full deck before Tuesday if useful. I am especially interested in whether the new onboarding flow is moving retention.
