Discussion Notes
- Firmware testing is stable for lights, plugs, and contact sensors. Thermostat support still has intermittent pairing failures with two vendor models.
- The team agreed that core automations must continue running locally when the cloud connection is unavailable.
- The current onboarding flow does not clearly distinguish Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee devices. UX proposed a single “Add Device” flow that detects the connection type automatically.
- QA identified a race condition when several devices reconnect after a hub reboot. Daniel has reproduced the issue and is preparing a firmware fix.
- Customer Support requested clearer in-app diagnostics for offline devices, including last-seen time and suggested recovery steps.
- The beta group will be limited to 150 households, with a mix of new and existing customers.
