For the Veil, 186 light frames were paired with forty dark and flat frames. The stack keeps faint oxygen detail without forcing the color.
Foregrounds are exposed separately at blue hour, then aligned by hand. No artificial stars are added to the final plate.
Calibration happens in Astro Pixel Processor, with finishing in a restrained curve: rust, blue-black, and the gray of real moonlight.
