Hello everyone,

Thank you for signing up for this month's community bird survey. We'll meet at the east entrance to Willow Marsh Reserve at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 1. The survey should take about two hours.

Please bring binoculars if you have them, along with water, insect repellent, and suitable footwear. We'll divide into small groups and record every species we see or hear along the assigned routes. New volunteers are very welcome; each group will include at least one experienced observer.

If the weather forecast calls for heavy rain or thunderstorms, I'll send an update by 8:00 p.m. Friday. Otherwise, the survey will go ahead as planned.

Afterward, please submit your observations through the project form by Sunday evening so we can add them to the regional breeding-bird dataset.
